The mind body balance is critical to achieving and sustaining good health and slowing the process of aging. Stress, depression and anxiety decrease our productivity, life span as well as predispose us to chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, Diabetes, Heart Disease and Cancer.
This interactive presentation by Dr. Nadia Ali, M.D, M.B;B.S, MPH, ABHIM, FACP will focuses on the root causes of stress, depression and anxiety including nutrient deficiencies, brain-gut connection, hormones and food sensitivities. In addition she will discuss how these root causes can be uncovered and how nutrition can make a significant impact on improving stress and anxiety. There will be time dedicated for question and answers at the end of her session.
Dr. Nadia Ali is dually board certified in Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine. She obtained her Master's in Public Health from Johns Hopkins and her mini-geriatric fellowship from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of physicians and a Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Medicine. She completed her Mind Body Certification from Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and her Maharishi Ayurveda Health Professional Certification from Maharishi Ayurveda Association of America. She has expertise in the area of integrative care for stress, depression and anxiety.
